Dina is the youngest sister. Growing up in the Ozarks she watched her sisters perform in many different shows and venues. It’s evidently in the blood. After graduating from Forsyth High School and Cottey College, she moved back home to finish her bachelor’s degree in Theater. While attending SMSU in Springfield, MO she auditioned for the leading role at the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theater. That summer she played Sammy Lane for the first time and met the
love of her life. She finished her degree at College of the Ozarks the following year and married Scott Gillman in May of 1996. After 10 years as Sammy Lane plus a few other characters at Shepherd of the Hills, she hung up her square dancing shoes. Dina and Scott have 4 children, Peyton (21), Parker (17), Pace (13) and Kieth (17). Upon the birth of her third child, she opened her own daycare business. She is currently in the 13th year of that business.
Though she is not currently acting professionally, she is very active in the drama department at her church. She has performed in several skits, written several skits and penned a 3 act drama for the Children’s Ministry. Her older kids keep her busy with softball, baseball, and football games. The youngest one has taken after his mother and shows an aptitude for acting, dance and song. She looks forward to watching them continue to grow into the amazing humans they are. They are her greatest accomplishment.
