Disclaimer: Since Dawn was in the Ozarks for an extended period of time, we recorded live visits of some of the places we have featured in the past. This time, we went to the Shepherd of the Hills (episodes: Spooksode 1 HERE and Episode 1.12 HERE). We did not think that we got much of anything besides some ghost box hits, but it turns out that we got the MOST EXCITING thing we have ever gotten while sitting on the set under the shelter (see below). You can hear it at 38:55 and 40:16 in the episode this week. What do you do when you think the visit has been a bust? You ride a slide in the middle of the night! Thanks to Scootter and the folks at Shepherd who let us in everywhere. Basin Park Hotel Palace Hotel Get yourselves ready for a new on-site episode! Let Dawn recover from travel and her omicron booster, so we can record and edit. Use this episode to prepare for the future one! Thanks for your patience.

Dawn and Pam were in the Ozarks! So Dina and Dawn drove to Fayetteville to revisit Season 1 Episode 11 (Dec 2020). MANY THANKS to Laci Prince the Director of the Arkansas Air and Military Museum. There is WAY too much live action to to revisit on one episode so we concentrated on the museum. This place is so haunted that they do fundraising dinners with a ghost tour. HERE for more info. Dawn and Dina
Ozarks Haints N Hooch features two sisters from the Ozarks, Dawn Larsen and Dina Larsen Gillman. They gather bi-monthly remotely from two different states to offer stories about Ozark ghosts, monsters, superstitions, people, places, lore, and history - with a bonus twist, a cocktail themed to the feature story. Grab some hooch and join them, but know that “this ain’t no fancy, academic, check your references, kinda deal. We are two sisters from the Ozarks sipping and spewing about haints, hooch, and history.” Archives
